Air Pacific's Pacific Sun

Air Pacific in Fiji launched its regional air services in the latter part of 2006, commencing with air flights to and from Tonga, Tuvalu and Port Vila in Vanuatu. During the next few years, Air Pacific will extend these schedules to include other regional island destinations such as Kiribati, Rotuma (Fiji), Samoa and Wallis & Futuna. Two ATR 42 aircraft operate on the regional service.

In early 2007, Air Pacific's domestic services within the Fiji Islands commenced, having successfully purchased Sun Air, a family-owned airline that had operated services for many years within the country. The new branding is ' Pacific Sun ' and Sun Air's fleet now carries a distinctive and colourful new logo with Air Pacific colours of red, dark blue and yellow. The fleet will later be upgraded and expanded in the years ahead.

From its base at Nadi Airport, Pacific Sun has domestic routes to Suva, Kadavu in the south, Savusavu and Labasa on Vanua Levu island in the north, and Taveuni (also in the north). In addition, short hops out to Mana Island and Plantation Island are also on the regular scheduled services.

The new airline offers regular flights and a brand new air ticket service for tourists and local residents who are looking for flights in Fiji.
